Christmas News
The daylight hours are stretching out and we find ourselves looking down the barrel of another Christmas and New Year. Orchard Street Gallery would like to wish all our subscribers a safe and happy holiday season, with a wish for you all to visit us again in Taralga soon. We will be open throughout January (except public holidays) with our usual Friday-Sunday opening hours between 10 am and 3 pm.
The highlight of January will be the opening of Tony Ameniero’s exhibition ‘Landscape With Rock’ on Saturday 14th at 12 midday. Please join us for a glass of something and a chat with the artist.
Tony will also be running a print workshop on Saturday, Feb 11th 10 am – 4 pm. See the workshop bookings page for details.
Currently on show:
Jo Morris’ ‘works on paper’ will run over Christmas and New Year, if you haven’t been in already, drop in for a look at these drawings which are personally very meaningful to her.
Our busy friends at Southern Tablelands Arts have put together an introduction to Orchard Street Gallery on their ‘Stories From the Studio’ page.

Hand-Made Gift Cards from ‘Bush Pressies’:
These unique cards are a labour of love from Taralga local Susie Golightly. She collects found objects and dried plants to hand-stitch her creations, so you can offer them as gifts to your friends and loved ones, or just keep as a souvenir of your time in Taralga.
Coming up in the new year:
We have plans in the works for shows in 2023 including:
A textile artist
A First Nations artist
Joint show of graphic novel-style prints
Native flora and fauna paintings
Landscape paintings of the Southern Tablelands
The timeless appeal of the human nude
… and a whole bunch of educational workshops so stay in touch to keep up to date.
