Gallery Update
Award-winning artist Tony Ameneiro’s month-long show ‘Landscape With Rock’ at Orchard Street Gallery was a great success. His beautiful prints and drawings brought people in from Sydney, Canberra, the Southern Highlands as well as the Southern Tablelands and of course our local community.
Tony’s work, together with his self-published book, (which comes with an original etching enclosed) can still be purchased online through www.tonyameneiro.com or enquiries to hello@orchardstreetgallery.com.au
Upcoming Shows
The Orchard Street Gallery is not yet one year old but is already gathering momentum thanks to our supporters and creative community. We are excited to be in discussions with various artists who are considering using our space to expand their practices and exhibit their work. Over the next few months, the gallery space will have a diverse range of works from multiple artists including graphic novel-style imagery, fibre art, etchings, woodcuts, screen prints, wire sculptures, kinetic art and landscape paintings.
Check out our What’s On page for details.
If you’re a ‘creative someone’ who likes to make stuff, but you consider the act of exhibiting art too scary, drop us an email or come into the gallery to chat. Our gallery process is very simple and reflects our position in a small out-of-the-way place, ideal for a first ‘toe in the water’ exhibition.
Gallery Garden
The mostly native garden at the entrance to Orchard Street Gallery is maturing nicely in this gorgeous summer weather. It attracts all manner of bees, butterflies, moths, lizards, birds and beetles. Together with many of our neighbours and friends in Taralga, we are keen to encourage biodiversity and regenerative and permaculture techniques to restore the landscape as we go.
Visitors to Taralga, (and some locals,) come to sit on the bench at the front of the gallery to enjoy the garden and have their photos taken in front of our beautiful mural created by www.thomasjackson.com.au
