OSG Inaugural Opening and Exhibition

We had a beautiful clear blue sky and crisp Tablelands temperature for our Grand Opening on Saturday 30thJuly. We invited our friends, family and neighbours to see our work and witness local Gundungurra elder David King offer a ‘Welcome to Country’ ceremony in the driveway next to the gallery.

Bob Withers presented a series of drawings in ink and fluoro spray paint depicting the architectural forms of classic aussie corrugated iron sheds in false perspective.
Jo Morris works were a combination of wire relief sculptures based in tree forms, together with a series of hand coloured aquatints using native bird feather forms.

The exhibition was very well received and qualified as a sell-out, which bodes well for the future of the gallery.

Thank you to all those who made the trip to support us in our new venture.
